Scope and Content

Certifying that Edward de Berti, secretary to the privy council, was awarded the degree of 'Magistrum seu Doctorem Artium' at the University of Cambridge on 27 Feb 1623. Signed by the vice-chancellor, Hieronymus Beale, illuminated border and capital (decorated with the arms of Cambridge University, and of its chancellor, Thomas Howard, 1st Earl of Suffolk). Corded pendant seal wanting.
