Administrative / Biographical History

Joe Berger and Pascal Wyse began collaborating in 2000 on a short animation called 'Matchbox'. In 2003 they began to contribute a weekly comic strip named 'The Pitchers' to the Guardian which takes a humorous look at the absurdity of Hollywood through the eyes of two scriptwriters. In 2007 their single-panel weekly food cartoons became a weekly feature in the Guardian Weekend magazine. The comic features, a number of regular characters including the gastronauts and the godzillas. Joe Berger is an illustrator and cartoonist from Bristol and Pascal Wyse is a writer, musician, multimedia producer and regular contributor to the Guardian.
