Administrative / Biographical History

John Rees adopted the name John Rees Stokes in 1775 when he married Frances Warren of Trewern. He built a mansion at Cuffern, Roch, Pembrokeshire, in 1770. In 1837, his son, John Stokes Stokes (fl. 1813-1837) inherited the estate.
