Scope and Content

John Austin senior of Shefford, John Austin junior, of the same, John Aires senior of East Hatley, Cambridgeshire, and John Aires junior, of Beeston, Sandy, Bedfordshire agree with Joseph Baker of Old Warden, Bedfordshire and George Fennell senior of Shefford that they will levy a fine sur conuzance de droit come ceo of certain land in Thorncote, Northill and Shefford, to the respective uses of Joseph Baker, John Austin junior, John Austin senior, and George Fennell senior for the better securing repayment of a sum lent on a mortgage by George Fennell to John Austin senior and John Austin junior [see MS Doc.209]. Witnesses: for John Aires senior, Anne his wife, John Aires junior and Joseph Baker: Ellis Griggs, John Firby: for John Austin senior, John Austin junior, Anne his wife and George Fennell: St John Willowes, John Firby. Eight seals are attached.
