Scope and Content

William Smithyer of London acknowledges that he paid no part of the sum for the purchase of the rectory of Whaddon bought in his name and in that of Henry Pickering of Whaddon from the Trustees nominated by Act of Parliament for the sale of ecclesiastical property, but that his name was only used in trust for Henry Pickering.
