Administrative / Biographical History
Alfred Neobard Palmer, 1847-1915, was chief chemist at Brymbo Steel Works. He devoted his retirement, from 1886, to local historical research on Wrexham and North East Wales. He also worked as an investigator for the RCAHMW, contributing field work to the first three inventories. He publshed 10 books, including a series on the history of Wrexham. The notebooks were produced throughout his retirement, and contain his research on the area's history.
