Translated by James Walker. The translation is dated at Rotterdam, 22 May 1702, but this MS consists of sheets watermarked 1808 and 1810. The translator's English is imperfect: he admits in his preface to being 'not as yet accustomed to the expressing properly of the English terms'. The text continues without a break from vols 1 to 2 and is paginated continuously 1-953, although there are numerous errors in the pagination. The English text is on the verso throughout. The recto was apparently intended to contain the original text in Arabic and 'Malajouish' [Malay?], in parallel columns, but that plan is abandoned after section 3.
