Scope and Content

These papers are a small collection of notes on the Trade Union Congress of September 1890. The collection came to the Library as a gift from Miss Margaret Llewelyn Davies, the general secretary of the Co-Operative Women's Guild between 1899 and 1921. Margaret Llewelyn Davies was the daughter of John Llewelyn Davies, a Fellow of Trinity College Cambridge, and the sister of Theodore Llewelyn Davies, a British official. It is believed that these notes were written by Theodore Llewelyn Davies during his time as a British official. Their other brother's, Arthur Llewelyn Davies, children were the inspiration behind J.M. Barrie's novel Peter Pan.
