The Great Britain-U.S.S.R. Association was a British Government funded organisation established in 1959 to promote and facilitate academic, cultural, educational, scientific and other non-political contacts between Great Britain and the Soviet Union. It was renamed the Britain-Russia Centre in 1992 and subsequently merged administratively with the British East-West Centre
