Scope and Content

Two booklets of modern verse, written out and decorated by Frederic Prokosch, 1982. Parts of the title-page and colophon in both pamphlets are printed. The title-pages read: 'Illustrated by Frederic Prokosch. The Prometheus Press, Grasse, 1982'. The colophons, which include an edition statement, have been numbered and signed by Prokosch. The booklets are:

  • A.E. Housman, 'Loveliest of Trees'. The text of the poem includes decorations in red ink, and a water-colour frontispiece. The pamphlet is epsilon in a series alpha to epsilon.
  • Dylan Thomas, 'Do not go gentle'. Decorated as above. The pamphlet is alpha in a series alpha to epsilon.

Administrative / Biographical History

Frederic Prokosch (1908-89) was an American writer.
