Michael Stern was Conservative MP for Bristol North West between 1983-1997. Prior to this he had worked as an Accountant, and he returned to accountancy in 1997. He was also involved in the Conservative Bow Group in the 1970s, and was Prospective Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Derby South, 1975-1982.

Due to the personal nature of the correspondence with North West Bristol constituents, 1983-1997, it has been decided to keep this section closed for thirty years. Subject files are to be kept open, but can be closed if deemed too personal. The Bow Group papers give a good insight into the work of the Conservative Bow Group in London, 1968-1985.
