Scope and Content

Waterstock is a small parish just to the east of Oxford. In 1925 it was united with Waterperry, and then in 1964, with Great Haseley and Albury. Since 1987, Waterstock has been united with Albury, Waterperry and Holton.

The parish records of Waterstock have been deposited in several instalments. The main body of the records came from the Bodleian Library, where deposits had been made in 1952, 1968 and 1984. After their arrival at Oxfordshire Archives, further records were deposited in 1985, 1993 and 1994. These were given the accession numbers 2380, 2869, 3688, 3756, 3840 and 3848.

A concordance between the old and new reference numbers for each document exists at the end of the catalogue.

Recatalogued in October 1994 by Robin Darwall-Smith.
