Scope and Content

Includes leases, deeds, assignments, copies of court rolls, letters of attorney and releases concerning land in Guilden Morden and Over owned by the corporation of Beverley, Yorkshire. A full list is available on request.

Arrangement

All were at one time stitched together, and paginated 1-72. they have now been separated, but items 1, 4, 5, 9, 22, 23, 29, and 31 were gathered and bound, 1905. Items paginated 65-67 are missing.

Acquisition Information

Purchased by Robert Metcalfe DD of Trinity College, Cambridge (d. 1653) and bequeathed by him to his native town, Beverley, Yorkshire. These items appear to be strays from the Beverley Corporation archives. Purchased from J. Corbet Anderson.
