Administrative / Biographical History

Captain Vivian Hewitt 1888 - 1965 was known as the aviation pioneer. He was from a wealthy brewing family of Grimsby but moved to his mother's family home in Bodfari. He learned to fly in 1910 and by 1912 was ready to attempt to fly across the Irish Sea. He moved to Cemlyn on Anglesey after WW1.
