Scope and Content

Episcopal reservation addressed to the king of France, in favour of Francesco Maria, lay canon of Ferrara, Alexandro and Angelo de Canano, brothers, of the rights of patronage to the church of St Michael, Ferrara. Red oval episcopal pendant seal on strings. Contemporary endorsements of identification. Further endorsement dated 1604, and in modern hand 'No. 2'.
