Administrative / Biographical History

Elisaveta Fen (pen name of Lidiia Vitalevna Zhiburtovich, 1899-1983) emigrated from the Soviet Union to England in 1926 and established herself as a novelist, journalist, translator and memoirist writing in English. As Lydia Jackson (her married name) she had a parallel career as a child psychologist.
