Gwent Area Broadcasting plc was a commercial radio company, incorporated in July 1982. The station, Gwent Broadcasting, was launched in June 1983 but stopped transmitting in April 1985. The company merged with Cardiff Broadcasting Company and the transmitters were subsequently used to relay CBC (and later Red Dragon FM) from Cardiff.

The records are closed for 30 years from date of creation.
