There are over fifty volumes of Henry Pettitt's playscripts, arranged in approximate chronological order of production. The majority of the volumes contain fair-copy manuscript or typescript playscripts, uniformly bound in half green calf, with the title tooled on the spine. There are also a few volumes into which printed copies of the play text have been pasted. Many of the volumes contain enclosures such as posters and programmes.
