Minutes, annual reports, accounts, leaflets, articles and posters advertising talks and debates by the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom

Photographs of talks, lectures and events hosted and attended by the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom. Old photographs of the Daily Express and Guardian buildings in London.

Files of research materials including:

  • Files of papers relating to the Broadcasting Bill 1988
  • Files of papers relating to ownership and control of the British media, inquiry into the British media, ownership and control of the European media and media in other countries.
  • Files of papers relating to events and the media including the Iraq and the Gulf War, the Miners' Strike and the Irish broadcasting ban, 1988.
  • Files of papers relating to the media, racism and equal opportunities. Also papers of the Women's group and the Lesbian and Gay group of the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom.
  • Files of papers relating to pornography and censorship, and censorship and the media
  • Files of papers relating to the Press Complaints Commission, the Labour Party media policy and press releases related to broadcasting issues.

If you wish to visit the library you need to make an appointment. The Working Class Movement Library is open Tuesday-Friday 10.00am-5.00pm and every 1st Saturday of the month 10.00am-4.00pm.
