Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
The factory was originally owned by Fisher Foils and was opened prior to the Second World War. One of its main products was very thin printed aluminium foil used in food and drug packaging. The printing processes used meant that the various London printing unions were involved. The factory was taken over by Alcan in the 1960s and closed in 1984.
