- 'A Statement of Facts relative to the Establishment and Progress of the Elgin Botanic Garden and the subsequent disposal of the same to the State of New York' by David Hosack M.D., New York, 1811 - signed Dr Rutherford from D. Hosack
- Pamphlet entitled 'Description of Elgin Garden, the property of David Hosack M.D., 4 pages and an engraving by William Satchwell Leney and L. Simond showing the Garden. 1802?

Originally in the RBGE Library collection, the documents were moved to the Archives c.2008 due to their connection to Regius Keeper Daniel Rutherford and this catalogue description was created. However, as the documents are published and not directly related to RBGE, the decision was made in 2023 to move them back to the Library Special Collections (RBR).
