Albury is a small parish to the east of Oxford. It has always administered the neighbouring hamlet of Tiddington, and therefore several records concerning Tiddington (especially concerning its school) are to be found here.
In 1964, Albury was united with Great Haseley and Waterstock, and then in 1987 it joined Holton, Waterperry and Waterstock in a different grouping.
The greater part of the parish records of Albury were deposited with the Bodleian Library in 1963 and 1980, before they were transferred to Oxfordshire Record Office. Further deposits were made directly with Oxfordshire Record Office as Acc 2769 in May 1988, Acc 3688 in August 1993, Acc 3755 in January 1994, Acc 3841 and Acc 3847 in July 1994, Acc 4126 in August 1996, Acc 6103 in August 2012 and Acc 7021 in November 2022.
Appendices list which documents came with which deposit, and provide a concordance for the old and new reference numbers for the documents.
