Administrative / Biographical History

George MacLean was born 2nd June 1888  in Kilininian, Argyll & Bute, Scotland. He matriculated into the medical faculty at the University of Glasgow in 1910.

In his first year he studied Chemistry, Anatomy, Zoology, and Practical Zoology. His second year subjects were Anatomy and Physiology. In his third year he studied Practical Anatomy, Materia Medica, and Clinical Medicine. In his fourth year he studied Pathology, Clinical Medicine, and Vaccination. In his final year he specialised in Surgery. He graduated MB ChB in 1915  .
