Prescelly Water Board Records

Records of the Prescelly Water Board, 1948-1974, minutes, 1948-1962; abstracts of accounts, 1959-1962; minutes of the South West Wales River Board, 1952-1965; and minutes and annual reports of the South West Wales River Authority, 1964-1974.

From the late 19th century until 1957, responsibility for water provision lay with borough and rural district councils or sanitary authorities. The Prescelly Water Board was active from 1948 to 1974 in north Pembrokeshire, working with the South West Wales River Board / South West Wales River Authority.
