Richard E. Huws (1948-) undertook research into the Lawrence family of book-binders and printers in Carmarthen. Thomas John Lawrence (died 1824), a book-binder, came to Carmarthen in the 1780s. His grandson, William (1833-1889) became a printer. His son, William Loveden Lawrence, ran the business until his death in 1940.
