Scope and Content

Margaret le Smyth of Wynpol [Wimpole, Cambridgeshire] confirms her gift to her brother Hugh, also of Wimpole, of two acres arable land lying in the south field[s] of Wimpole. One acre lies next to land of John Hollewell; two selions lie next to land of Warin de Bassyngburn, abutting on 'le Wytethornes'; and one selion lies next to land of Geoffrey Coulyng' and abuts on le Wytethornes. At Wimpole, deed poll, witnessed by Lawrence de Wratworth, Geoffrey Coulyng, John Wyndsor, Adam ate mor, William Badekok, and others. Tag with trace of green seal. Endorsed: '23 E 3' and in a later hand: 'Wimple'.
