Scope and Content

Copy of part of Wiqayah ar-Riwayah fi Masa'il al'Hidayah by Burhan ash-Sharia Mahmud ibn Sadr ash-Sharia 'Ubaid-Allah al-Mahbubi. An abridgement of the Hidayah, a well known compendium of Muslim law according to the Hanafi rite. Good naskhi, Arabic.

Manasik Namah, a Persian title meaning 'an account of the ceremonies of the Pilgrimage to Meccah' in different hands. The headings are in Turkish, the rest in Arabic. Cites Waqi 'at al-Husamiyah of Husam ad-Din ash-Shahid (d. 536/1141), Muhammad ibn al-Hasan ash-Shaibani and Abu Yusuf (Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim al-Kufi).

Administrative / Biographical History

Burhan ash-Sharia Mahmud ibn Sadr ash-Sharia 'Ubaid-Allah al-Mahbubi (d. 673), was from a family of famous theologians and writers of Hanafi textbooks.
