Scope and Content

Comprises Carmel Whyte's memoirs of escape from Russia; documents belonging to members of the Wallwork family, including Edwin, Joseph Arthur, Annie, and Lilian, in Russia; their photographs and postcards of family members and friends with British and Russian military personnel in the First World War; Lilian and Annie's cloth mementoes; plaster statues of Russian peasants; additional photographs of Russian military subjects; a transcript of Lilian Nield recording her childhood memoirs at the time of the Revolution; and a photocopy of a letter from C. Fry to Lilian Wallwork, 1917
