Scope and Content

Grant by the College of Urbino of the degree of Doctor of Law to Camillo Guidarello, 22 February 1589, 12 folios. The grant is endorsed at the conclusion by Perioannes Murcianus. The margins contain portrait medallions, foliation and coats of arms. The coats of arms all appear to be variations of the arms of Montefeltro and Della Rovere, Dukes of Urbino. Inside the front cover is the bookplate of William Horatio Crawford, of Lakelands, Cork. In a separate envelope is the seal, which is damaged.

Acquisition Information

The grant was purchased at the sale of the library of William Horatio Crawford at Sotheby's, 1891, by J. Tregaskis, and afterwards by Samuel Sandars. Bequeathed by Samuel Sandars to the Library 1894.
