Scope and Content

Mary Tempest of London assigns to Sir William Turner, Alderman of the City of London, her interest in lands in Whittlesey, mortgaged by indenture dated 24 Ap. 1677 by Francis Dowager Countess of Portland, Hon. Edward Howard of Norfolk, and Sir James Hayes of Lincoln's Inn to Robert Nott of St. Martin in the Fields, Middlesex, for a term of five hundred years, and afterwards by indenture dated 15 July 1679 assigned by him to Mary Tempest for the remainder of the term. A special trust is provided that the term and estate for five hundred years wait upon the reversion and inheritance of the premises. Draft is incomplete.
