Amalgamated Society of Tailors and Tailoresses.

Annual reports, 1880-1881, 1885-1899, 1901-1912 [indexed]; quarterly reports, 1880-1881, 1893-1897; and conference of deputies reports, 1897-1904.

Formed in Manchester in 1866 as the Amalgamated Society of Tailors, the union became the Amalgamated Society of Tailors and Tailoresses in 1906. It absorbed a number of local societies of tailors before merging with the Tailors and Garment Workers' Union in 1932 to form the National Union of Tailors and Garment Workers.

The main archives of the General, Municipal, Boilermakers and Allied Trades Union (later GMB), including the boilermakers' section, remain with the union at its national college.
