Collection of items compiled by Phyllis Irene Adamson, nurse. The collection contains a certificate from Leeds General Infirmary Training School for Nurses confirming that Adamson had passed her examinations to become a nurse in July 1934, certificate from Leeds General Infirmary Training School for Nurses confirming that Adamson had passed her invalid cookery course in 1930, certificate from General Nursing Council confirming that Adamson was entitled to become a registered nurse in 1934, nurse's chart compiled by Adamson in March 1930, photographs of Adamson working at an unknown children's ward, photographs of Adamson with colleagues, photographs of Adamson working on a children's ward in Hull during the Second World War (copyright Hull Daily Mail), and pages removed from journal 'The Nursing Mirror and Midwives Journal', 11 June 1932 (p.C-D) of advertisements for a summer competition asking readers to name advertisements featured in the journal from the pictures taken
