    • 1 text 272 ff Materials : Paper. Dimensions : 220 mm x 160 mm x 95 mm. Foliation : Western, 272 folios. Ruling : No text boxes, text arranged in two columns of approximately 165 mm x 55 mm including 26 lines; copious marginalia. Script : Serṭā. Ink : Main text in black ink with titles and catchwords in red; illumination in red, green, yellow and black inks. Binding : Stamped brown leather cover with inlaid metal balls on both the front and back, with braided leather clasps.

The manuscript contains considerable illumination in the guide to the Gospels, as well as in the headers of each of the sections of the text. The primary motif of the illumination is interlaced bands in red, yellow, green and navy blue. Each of the Gospels contains a cloth finger tab along the outer rim of the first page. The manuscript was copied by Iywanis, a priest and monk at the Ethiopian and Egyptian Mar Ya''qub Monastery on the side of the holy mountain, Turabidin, in the month of Kanun Qadim, 1787 of the Greek calendar (1475 CE).
