Scope and Content

Charles Greene, steward of Manor, appoints Thomas Johnson, gent., of St. Ives, Hunts., and Daniel Yorke, gent., of Thrapston, Northants., as his deputies to accept from James Ind, gent., of Fenstanton and Elizabeth his wife, the surrender of lands in Fenstantion (as mentioned in MS Doc.918). To the use of Lancelot Brown, esq., of Hampton Court, Msex. And to examine Elizabeth, apart from her husband, to know if she consents to the surrender of her own free will. Signed by Charles Greene, with seal attached. Witnessed by Samuel Johnson.
