Papers relating to the collation of biographies for the publication 'The Lives of the Fellows of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, 1929-1969' by Sir John Peel (1976), including correspondence discussing biographical details.

Administrative / Biographical History

On retiring as President of the College in 1969, John Peel was asked by Council to undertake the task of preparing a history of the lives of the Fellows, along the same lines as volumes published by the two older Royal Colleges (the RCP and the RCS). The Lives of the Fellows of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 1929-1969 (Whitefriars Press Ltd) was published in 1976.
