Administrative / Biographical History

Aylmer R. M. Rose (b. 1888 in Ireland) was educated at Dublin. As a member of the Independent Labour Party at the outbreak of the First World War and an Absolutist and Secretary of the No-Conscription Fellowship, he was imprisoned at Wormwood Scrubs. Later, he was employed on the Home Office Work Scheme at Dartmoor from where he escaped.
