Scope and Content

Adderbury lies on the Oxfordshire/ Northamptonshire border and is located approximately 3 miles south of Banbury.

The majority of records in the collection were originally held by the Bodleian Library as shelf mark MSS.D.D.Par. Adderbury before being transferred to Oxfordshire Record Office in the mid 1980s as Acc 2341. Further items were deposited as Acc 5458 in October 2005, Acc 5543 in June 2006 Acc 6720 in December 2018 and Acc 6957 in March 2022 . Item PAR2/4/F1/1 was previously referenced as Stockton & Fortescue Box 14, Bundle B.

A concordance of old and new reference numbers is available is the back of the hard-copy catalogue. Catalogued by Hannah Jones, February 2009, with additions made February 2011 and December 2018. Further additons by Alison Smith in September 2022.
