Being newspaper cuttings, offprints of articles, mostly on Homer, and of reviews of works on classical subjects together with autograph notes related to the same.

Alexander Shewan (1851-1941), late of the Indian Civil Service and independent Homeric scholar.

By appointment with the Keeper of Manuscripts. Access to records containing confidential information may be restricted.

Alexander Shewan presented approximately 5,000 pamphlets relating to Homeric studies to the university library where they are housed as the Shewan collection.
