Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Mr D. J. Evans, of Llanfachreth, Merionethshire, collected programmes and other material relating to arts and music competitions in Wales. The National Eisteddfod is held annually in August, but local eisteddfods are held throughout Wales during the year. Urdd Gobaith Cymru, or the Welsh League of Youth, organizes the 'Eisteddfod Yr Urdd', or the youth eisteddfod. Other festivals have been organised under the auspices of the Women's Institute.
