Administrative / Biographical History

A. Jackson was born at Armley, Leeds, in 1897 and educated at Leeds High School and Jesus College, Cambridge. As a 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd Battalion, East Yorkshire Regiment, he served in Salonika and Macedonia from October 1916. He later became a Reverend Lieutenant Colonel.
