Administrative / Biographical History

The University of Leeds South Library was opened in 1975 and contained the main science and applied science collections, and the Undergradute Library. Following the death in office in 1981, of the Vice-Chancellor, Lord Boyle of Handsworth, the building was renamed the Edward Boyle Library in his honour
