Scope and Content

1. Denise Relhan commonly called Dame Denise Hart of the Royal Palace of St. James, St. Martin in the Fields parish in the Liberty of Westminster Middlesex, widow.

2. John Griffiths of Cleveland Row in the parish of St. James, Middlesex, surgeon.

3. Elizabeth Hart of the said Royal Palace of St. James, spinster, grand-daughter of the said Denise Relhan.

4. Robert Mackreth of Cork Street, St George Hanover Square parish, Middlesex, esquire, and William Cecil of Norfolk Street in St Clement Danes parish, Middlesex, gent.

PRE-NUPTIAL SETTLEMENT of the said John Griffiths and Elizabeth Hart. States that Denise Relhan has given £3000 as the marriage portion of Elizabeth, and this is settled to the uses of the marriage.

Endorsed. That the marriage duly take place: that William Cecil, trustee is dead, that R. Mackreth is the only surviving trustee; now, William Noble of Pall Mall, esquire, and Thomas Ferrers of Angel Alley, Whitechapel, merchant, are appointed trustees: dated 19 July 1790.

Among the witnesses is W.H. Wagner.
