Manuscript poem by Charles Lamb, written for 'my favourite child' Thornton Leigh Hunt during Hunt's father's imprisonment in Surrey County Gaol [Leigh Hunt was imprisoned between 1813 and 1815].

Charles Lamb (10 Feb 1775 - 27 Dec 1834) was a poet. He co-authored the children's book 'Tales from Shakespeare' [1807] with his sister Mary Lamb (1764 - 1847).
