William Richard Arthur Pole Tylney Long Wellesley, fifth Earl of Mornington (1813-1863) was educated at Eton, 1826 31. From 1845, when his father inherited the earldom of Mornington, until his father's death in 1857, he was styled Viscount Wellesley. He became fifth Earl of Mornington on 1 July 1857. He died unmarried in Paris. He was succeeded as sixth Earl of Mornington by his cousin the second Duke of Wellington.
