Scope and Content

A copy of an agreement of charge and indenture, drawn up by Beaumont and Sons, between Eastern Irrigations Limited and Diala Cotton Plantations Limited, Najib Beg Al Asfar Hamdi Beg Al Pachachi and Thabit Beg Adul Nour, and the Government of Iraq, dated 16 June 1925, concerning the cultivation and irrigation of land in the Diyalah Zone for growing cotton. A copy of an agreement, drawn up by Slaughter and May, between Eastern Irrigations Limited and Diala Cotton Plantations Limited, and the Government of Iraq, dated 16 June 1925, on the same subject. An agreement for the transfer of rights and privileges by Eastern Irrigations Limited to the Diala Cotton Plantations Limited, and for Diala Cotton Plantations Limted to purchase the Latifiyah Estates from the Government of Iraq, signed and sealed by N S Myers and Douglas Newton, Directors, and T Chard, Secretary on hehalf of Eastern Irrigations Limited, and signed and sealed by Granville (?) and E Lionel Fletcher, Directors, and William Clegg(?), Secretary, Diala Cotton Plantataions Limted, 1927
