    • 1 vol. (17,[6] pp.), manuscript and printed material. The remainder of the pages in the volume are blank. Bound in boards with a black cloth spine and marbling on both outside covers. The title 'General Analyses' is written on to a small piece of paper which is pasted on to the middle of the outside front cover.

Scope and Content

Contains miscellaneous autograph manuscript notes of several scientific analyses of natural products dated in the text between 31 March 1883 and 30 August 1892. Two printed notes extracted from publications have been inserted into the volume, namely, "Scientific notes [on the] composition of barleys of different countries", and "Instructions for ferro-prussiate photo. paper (blue printing)".

Administrative / Biographical History

William Barwell Turner (1845-1917) was a botanist and expert on the Desmidieae. He became President of the Leeds Naturalists' Club in 1881.
