Scope and Content

The collection is composed of papers, poems and essays handwritten (and typescript) between 1948 and 1980, including: papers in posted envelopes; two 'notebooks' entitled A book of poems; poems or essays entitled The McArthur family; 'notebook' entitled My life story; 'notebooks' entitled A book of essays and Wild honeysuckle; and, a photograph affixed to a 'notebook'.

Administrative / Biographical History

Mary D. Peters was born at Arnage, near Ellon, Aberdeenshire, on 1 April 1924. Latterly she had been living in Elgin, Morayshire.
