Manuscript notes on midwifery taken by James William Miller of Dundee from the lectures of Sir James Young Simpson, at the University of Edinburgh, covering physiology and pathology of pregnancy and childbirth, including statistical information on delivery times, gestation and morbidity, and notes on the use of forceps and haemorrhaging. All the volumes contain a detailed index to the contents.
