Scope and Content

A collection of memorabilia relating mainly to the Kenrick and Chamberlain families, but includes items from related families including Beale, Cadbury, Osler, Burman, Crosskey, Darby, Gurney-Dixon, James, Ledsam, Lloyd, Lunt, Martineau, Nettlefold, Southall, and Taylor. The Chamberlain family had many links with the Kenrick family through marriage, and the two family names are closely associated throughout recent history in Birmingham.

The collection includes orders of funeral and memorial services for members of the Chamberlain, Kenrick and other families; photographs, ephemera relating to commemorative events associated with members of the Chamberlain family, facsimile reprint of a pamphlet entitled 'The duty of the respective officers appointed by the Court Leet, in the Manor of Birmingham', and a booklet from the service of thanksgiving to celebrate 150 years of James and Lister Lea, chartered surveyors.
