Transcripts by Valentine John Torr of monumental inscriptions, notes of arms, etc., in Kent churches said (note in TOR/01) to derive from five volumes of manuscripts of the Rev. Bryan Faussett, FSA (d. 1776; cf. MSS/0920) but including inscriptions copied in 1781. A few tricks of arms are included and pencil sketches of churches.
